A bit run down, but the accommodations are clean, safe and comfortable, and reasonable in light of the price. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this to someone who is terribly particular, but then again, if you want luxury, you have to be ready to pay luxury prices. Here, you don't have to. If you are looking for convenience, cleanliness, and something that isn't going to break the bank, try Tides Motor Inn. I'm glad I saved my money - that way I could spend it on some of the amazing seafood you can eat around here!

I visited Long Island this summer and stayed at the Tides Motor Inn, a cost effective motel in the place. They were very cheap by NYC standards, and I hugely enjoyed not having to pay more (I actually expected to pay double the amount to them, and saved all that money, with which I shopped, dined and wined).
The amenities were basic since they charged us very less. I knew all the room would have would be a bed with bedding and pillows; probably a TV, and a fridge. I was right! The TV was not that great, but I didn’t mind. I didn’t come to NYC to watch TV anyways. I loved it that the room provided us complimentary toiletries and coffee all day. The breakfast was complimentary and we loved the spread.
I’d highly recommend the Tides Motor Inn for every family looking to save money. All you want is a neat place to sleep right? Here, you get it a great price which will never hurt your wallet at all! I would tremendously recommend them and in fact, the next time I come here, I’ll choose this place for sure!

Beautifully situated with a view of the water. Tides Motor Inn is a decent place to stay. They had all the features I wanted like WiFi and a swimming pool, and were fairly priced. I received really good service the last time I stayed here. I will visit again, as they were in close proximity to a lot of places I'd still like to go to.
