I have eaten at probably half a dozen different pizza outlets over the past year, and by far, Spiros Famous Pizza is my favorite. I would even go so far as to guess that they are number 1 on the whole island. They aren't all that well known, which is a shame, because they're brilliant. I can't think of any restaurant where I feel more comfortable and welcome than I do here. I used to only get takeout, just cause I always associated pizza with a takeout kind of food, but I have started eating in and I love it. It is really nice to get out of the house but still feel just as comfortable as I would at home, and spend a little time with friends enjoying a delicious meal. This is by far one of the best pizza restaurants on Long Island. When you eat here, they make you feel totally welcome. I usually get takeout when I get pizza because most pizza restaurants are pretty "meh" when you come down to it, even if their food is excellent. This restaurant is so comfortable, I actually like eating in here! And the pizza is some of the best I've had. So definitely come in here if you are looking for your new favorite pizza joint. This is a really great little local Italian eatery, which specializes in pizza, but not to the exclusion of other good Italian food. I like everything I have tried on the menu a great deal, but it's hard not to get the pizza since it's the family favorite. The service is also really excellent. At a lot of restaurants I just feel completely anonymous. Here though, I always feel like the employees recognize me and appreciate my business and want me to keep coming back. I am so grateful I ran into this place. I had a really long day running errands and applying for jobs a few weeks ago, and I really didn't want to go home and prepare a meal. I spotted Spiros on my way home and stopped in to see what they had to offer. I wasn't expecting much--just a quite, cheap bite. The pizza was actually really good. This is a wonderfully welcoming little pizza joint; I'm not sure why it isn't better known. It's a hidden little gem. I love to bring my kids here to eat; it's a comfortable family environment, and the owners and the other staff members are so helpful and polite! They always recognize us when we come in. I really appreciate when people know me and know what I want to order.

The pizza itself is also worth raving about, as are the other menu items. I love their chicken dishes. It's hard to come in here and not get the pizza though since it's so good and such a good deal - and the kids always demand it! Share Your Review
