This is the only French food I have ever eaten, so I don't have a lot to compare it with, but it is really really really good. I recommend that you try the French Onion Soup, even though it costs an arm and a leg. It is just soooo good. You haven't head French Onion until you've had it here.

Sage Bistro is fine French dining on Long Island, served up with Manhattan flair. It's really a great restaurant, and while it is expensive (duh), it isn't actually as expensive as it appears on first glance. Their meals are pretty filling, and they give you a lot of food (not so much on the soup however). Like if my girlfriend and I come in here and order the steak which comes with the fries and vegetables, I think it's around $40, we can actually both share the meal and walk out feeling reasonably full. We have a snack later, but still, it's a $40 meal for two. We have to try to resist the French onion soup though. It's my all time favorite type of soup, and here it is reaaaaaly good. But it's a tiny cup and it's like $9, so we just can't do that every time. I wish we could though!

At Sage Bistro I first met my husband, so as you can imagine I truly love that place. It is situated close to where I reside, so I have been going to that restaurant quite frequently. There is an excellent collection of French wines and other beverages to choose from. The food is exquisit and really gourmet, but delicious to please everyone. You had better make a reservation, if you want to find a table and not be discomforted by the delay. The place is really famous and thus you might have to wait if you had not made prior arrangements. The prices are reasonable, given the top quality of the dishes and the whole atmosphere there.
