I think whether this place is going to be satisfactory to you depends on what you're looking for. The atmosphere is downright awesome; this is a very ambient place which feels a lot like being in a nightclub. That much I have to say is outstanding. The prices are pretty steep, but that's as advertised by the appearance of the venue. The food itself? I've had better sushi, I won't lie, but it's still really tasty. So if you want somewhere cool to relax and enjoy yourself while having a good meal, Nisen is a good place to go - if you have the money. If you are looking for budget sushi, there are some more appropriate options in town which are just as tasty (if not tastier). For atmosphere though, you can't beat Nisen. All that cool lighting is amazing!

Nisen Japanese Restaurant is not worth its name at all! I love sushi and was not happy with what I got on my platters. First things first, the waiters confuse your orders and make sure they mix up. Then, when after hours of waiting you have an order, you often wonder what part of sushi it is! The taste is bad, the ambience is okay, and the management is not at all happening. Will I recommend? No!

This is a restaurant that serves authentic food at the best prices. You will notice the freshness and the high-quality in each bite that you take. This is the best Japanese restaurant in the entire state of New York if you ask me.

I love sushi, and finding a restaurant who has good sushi is hard to find. Not anymore for me at least. Nisen Japanese Restaurant has the best in town, in my opinion.
