Some good news is coming for Long Island homeowners that have been affected by the October Super Storm that was named Sandy. Since the storm many homeowners have been struggling with how they are going to rebuild after the devastation brought to their homes. Some famlies are just realizing the full extent of the damage as they are returning home after several weeks away.
To help people get back on their feet the mortgage company HOPE NOW is stepping up with some information. The HOPE NOW Alliance and several local partners are bringing the nation’s largest mortgage servicers, along with several non-profit housing counseling organizations, insurance companies and others to Long Island to work face to face with homeowners affected by Super Storm Sandy. This free event will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Joseph M. Barry Career and Technical Education Center, 1196 Prospect Avenue, Westbury, NY 11590.
The doors for the event will open at 10:00am with the plan tow run until 7:00pm. Homeowners will be seen on a first come, first-served basis and are encouraged to bring all mortgage documents, income documents and insurance documents. Several companies will also be in attendance at the event to help homeowners and their rebuilding effort. These include some of the largest mortgage companies like: Bank of America, Chase, Citi Mortgage, GMAC Mortgage, Homeward Residential (formerly American Home Mortgage Servicing, Inc.), HSBC, Nationstar, Ocwen, OneWest, PNC, Select Portfolio Servicing, Seterus, SunTrust, US Bank and Wells Fargo.
Those who attend will be able to take the time they need to talk with each of the representatives and make sure that all their questions are answered. HOPE NOW would like to let everyone know that if they are in need of help to come to the event and find answers to their problems.
