2012 ELIH GALA—Music to Your Ears   

“Excitement for the 2012 Gala for Eastern Long Island Hospital on Shelter Island is building,” states Maureen Mills, ELIH Development Committee Chair.  With a nautical theme and promises of gentle sea breezes off Dering Harbor, Gala guests will gather under a tent on Saturday, August 11^th for the benefit of the emergency department.  Highlights include the amazing sounds of ‘voices only’ a cappella group from America’s Got Talent during the cocktail hour, and a showcase performance by the Perlman Music Program, later in the evening.

Shelter Island watercolor artist, Olive Reich, captured the view beautifully which is depicted on the invitation.”  

Chic and fun, the 2012 Gala is a sure bet.   You will enjoy sumptuous local cuisine expertly prepared by chefs at Jamesport County Kitchen and the Jamesport Manor Inn served French, butler-style tableside. Dinner entrées include:  Filet mignon with horseradish dill sauce, citrus marinated tuna and sautéed chicken with rosemary and shallots served herb roasted potatoes and corn of the cob salad.  Festivities begin at 5:00 pm with a raw bar and passed hors d’oeuvres.  Start with a sparkling signature cocktail and enjoy local craft beer courtesy of Greenport Harbor Brewing Company.  

Gala tickets are priced at $175.00 per person; sponsorship opportunities start at $1,000.  As a community hospital, ELIH relies on the continued support of the community.  Champion sponsors already include Bridgehampton National Bank, Hudson City Savings Bank, Peconic Landing and Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate.  ELIH also appreciates the support of the 2012 Gala Underwriters -- the Brennan Family, the Corso Family, Ryck and Alexander G.
