So this is arguably one of the best fine dining restaurants in Long Island, it is THE best restaurant in Port Washington, full stop! The place is tiny, so make reservations in advance if you think it’ll be busy, and it usually is. The restaurant can seat maybe 40 people. It’s dimly lit for a nice romantic atmosphere, and the delicious food gets started straight away. The bread they bring you has this amazing strawberry butter … something I never had before, and for high prices, I like to try exciting new things! I don’t want just the same old bread and butter I’d pay less for somewhere else.
Entrees …. Entrees, where do I get started. BBQ calamari is amazing. I also love the salmon with spaetzle (yay for German food). And there’s the BBQ pork, which is so tender it just falls apart, right off the bone. Everything has that “melt in your mouth” quality and that subtlety which to me shout “gourmet!” And do not miss out on dessert, even if that means taking home some leftovers from your dinner! You must try the cake!
