Tapas are awesome, but it's hard for me to make a meal out of them, honestly. But Mexican food? I can eat that all the live long day. So I was really stoked when I found out about Viva La Vida. I usually order one tapa as an appetizer and then get a Mexican meal, usually a burrito. Good stuff--filling and delicious.

I just love tapas, but my girlfriend totally hates them. This place is perfect for both of us, because I can have my tapas, and she can get some Mexican food, which makes her happy. I recommend the pulpo ala gallega, which is absolutely amazing. The best thing here though is the sangria, which they make right here in the restaurant. They only have a few flavors, and I’ve tried them all. Favorites are the pineapple and raspberry.

If you love Spanish and Mexican Cuisine, then you should definitely give Viva La Vida a try. The food is freshly made and you can tell that by the taste.

This place is pretty awesome. I've always really liked tapas, but they also tend to leave something to be desired for me. They're expensive, they're small, and let's be honest--they're appetizers. It's tough to make a whole meal out of them. At Viva La Vida, you can order all the tapas you want - they're about $8 each. But you can also grab a Mexican entree for a good price, about $12. So what I usually do is come in here with my girlfriend and we each get an entree and then we split an appetizer. I never get tired of the Spanish tortilla or the tasty octopus tapa with the saffron.
For superb, affordable tapas and a flexible menu, I give Viva la Vida 5 out of 5 stars.
