I just found this restaurant, and I love it! They have such a pleasant dining area. It has this really wonderful vibe to it. You feel like you're in Southern California eating at an authentic Mexican restaurant or something. Sometimes I expect to look outside and see palm trees or something. The food is THAT good! Thankfully the rise in the prices at Viva Juan Mexican didn't really affect me with my budget. I know that it has made eating here more difficult for some of their patrons. I just count myself lucky I'm not among them, lol. Their food is amazing, and they truly deserve to do well. The service is amazing too, and the place has a wonderful ambiance and a real sense of authenticity. This was a five star restaurant for me until they raised prices on all their menu items. Oops. The quality is still the same (excellent fortunately). It just makes it a little harder to come in here as often as I used to on the same budget.

This place has the feel of an authentic Mexican restaurant, complete with a delightful atmosphere and nice music. When you come here, you'll really feel like you've left the US behind for a little bit. And the food (having been to Mexico) is really good. It's tough to find good Mexican food on the northeast seaboard for some reason. I don't know what's up with that, but this is among the better places I've eaten, not just on Long Island, but in the whole region.

You get free chips and salsa to start off with, and they're great. The entrees are awesome too; the chorizo is my favorite. Service is fast and helpful. Share Your Review
