I got my last pair of glasses from Walmart. There were upsides and downsides. The main upside was the price. It was a lot less expensive to come to Walmart for new glasses than it would have been to go to a proper vision center somewhere else. The wait time was pretty long though, which was really irritating since I hate being in Walmart. The main irritation however was probably the fact that I had to take them back to be replaced after only a week. I told them NOT to put the glare coating on the lens, but they went ahead and did it anyway. That stuff is horrible. After only a week it was already getting that cloudy, scratched up look and figured out that was what was going on. Thankfully after I threw a very loud and very public fit, they changed them for me without a charge. I had to demand to talk to the manager though. He was very nice, incidentally, but it was a lot of work to go through just to get my glasses the way I ordered them in the first place. I think they technically owe me money since I didn't want the coating, but I have given up. Okay. Now I don't know why I called them a mixed bag. They were mostly a negative. I guess I wont' be going back, however enticing the price was. There was another hidden price in the form of total inconvenience.
