U-Haul helped me get my move done, but I discovered while doing some follow-up research later that I probably didn't actually save much money by doing the move myself, ironically. If I had hired movers I could have avoided the time away from work (I don't get paid vacation leave), and that would've resulted in me actually probably saving a little money. I know that isn't the case for everyone though, and for some situations, U-Haul makes total sense. Just think about it before you decide how to structure your move so that you don't spend more than you have to in order to get where you're headed. Share Your Review
