The first time I came here I was expecting a bar, and I was just coming in for a drink. The drink menu was fabulous, but I was surprised to find out this is a sit-down restaurant. I didn't try any of their food until the second time I went back, but what I had was amazing! I have since gone back a couple of times, once for their three-course meal. It was outstanding! Highly recommended!

It's a fancy fine dining place in a very charming little building. You can get a three course meal, and the price is actually very reasonable in light of what you're getting for it. You'll pay that much for ONE course at a lot of LI restaurants. This is one of the nicest deals around if you want really GOOD food at GREAT prices, served with style.

The Meeting House is a really delicious restaurant, pretty pricey, but what do you expect from a restaurant with a fancy name like "Meeting House." It certainly isn't a typical pub. It's a very interesting place though with a really cool ambiance. I think it may be a historic building, but I forgot to ask the waiters about it. Next time I go in I will be sure to ask.
Amazing selection of wines and beers here. If you enjoy a nice drink with your dinner, you won't be disappointed. I suggest you get the $30 multi-course dinner option when it's available. They don't have it all the time though so call them up and ask which days you can come in. It's actually a really great deal if you are into fine dining.

At first I couldn't figure out the name of this restaurant. For ages, I didn't realize it WAS a restaurant. But now I realize it's "Meeting House" as in "Public House" as in "Pub." It's an upscale pub though. Some of the entrees are around $40! The "small" dishes are less expensive, but still pricey for the amount of food you get. It is very delicious food though. That much I have to hand to this place. I really like the vegetable curry. And they have a lot of other vegetable dishes too, which is great since I don't eat meat.
There are some days of the week you can go in and get a $30 meal which includes several courses too--an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert. So like you can start out with a soup or salad, then opt for a burger or the fish of the day or the vegetable curry, and then follow up with a dessert (I personally like the creme brulee).
They also have a great wine/beer menu.
My only complaint really is the prices. They are quite high. The atmosphere is nice though; the building itself is adorable.
