This restaurant is my new favorite place! I have never had such delicious yellow curry before. And the meat they put in is super tender, whether you get the beef or the chicken. Haven't tried too much else that they have, but I will soon. It's really good food.

I love Thai ice tea, and they make the best Thai ice tea I've ever had here. Sweet but not overly so, and just the right creaminess. They have their recipe down perfect. If you love Thai ice tea, you have to get it!

If you can get past the prices and the occasionally really long line at the door (or just pick times that aren't majorly busy), you will probably love this restaurant. At least, you definitely will if you are a Thai food aficionado. I have a perfect meal here every time. It really is the best Thai food in the area, and worth paying/waiting for.

Eating at Thanee Thai isn't something I can do every day. In fact, I usually have to skip a evening eating out somewhere else to come here. But it's worth it, because their food is so amazingly delicious. They have a wonderful vegetarian menu. I adore the Basil Garden Bean Curd, and also the Mixed Ginger Chili. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also really cool - it has a modern vibe to it.

Not the fastest restaurant in the world, but this is in part because they are so popular, you see, so you do need to call ahead to reserve your spot. This can get you out of most of that waiting. The environment is very pleasant though. You'll feel very comfortable there. Sometimes I actually appreciate the wait since it allows me to linger and relax. They have the most delicious Thai ice tea I've ever had, and their entrees are just amazing! You'll be paying a little more than you might expect for Thai food, but the quality is worth it.

I love Thanee Thai! I fell in love with the restaurant the moment I stepped inside and saw all that super cool lighting and decor! I wanted to sit here for hours and hours. Which you can't really do (it's not a diner after all), but it is just one of the reasons I will be coming back again and again. The food is the main reason. It's even more exciting than the ambiance, and that is saying something. They make the best Thai ice tea I have ever had. It's busy in here, so try to come during a time when there aren't droves of people waiting for a seat.

For a long time, I'd have rated this restaurant with only three stars. But I've since changed my mind. Why? Well, originally I was irritated by things like the prices (which are high - so high they don't display on the menus online), and the wait times (which are long - very long sometimes, especially when the place is busy). I liked the ambiance (this is one of those super trendy and cool Thai restaurants which Long Island does so well) and the food though, so I gave it a couple more tries.
And now I'm willing to grant it four stars, purely because the food is so excellent. I don't blame them for taking a little longer to get the entrees out, because everything is so well done. I can understand the high cost as well considering that this is gourmet Thai food. It isn't somewhere I can come everyday, but when I can afford to pay a little extra for fine dining, it's my top choice on Long Island now.
I also want to highly recommend you try the Thai ice tea! Which is a wonderful drink altogether, but it can be prepared right and it can be made wrong. Here you'll find it's sweet but not overpoweringly so, and it's not watered down so much that it loses the creamy consistency you should get from the condensed milk. Yum!
