Calling in pest control isn't something I ever wanted to have to do ... but the termite problem was pretty severe in our old house. The wood isn't that strong as it is, being as this house is historic, and the last thing we could live with was little nasty termites eating away at what's left of it. Terminex was on the scene fast, and they did a great job getting things taken care of. We kept thinking the bugs were going to come back, but so far so good - no sign of them.
