I bought my first ever pair of high quality hiking boots here two weeks ago. Hiking isn't something I get to do as much of as I'd like here on LI, but I try to get upstate regularly each year, and one of the things which I always wanted but couldn't afford until recently were quality boots.

It's made a huge difference in my hiking. I used to slip a lot in the mud going up and down slopes, and now I feel a lot more sure on my feet, and less likely to injure myself. As you might expect, I had no idea what I was doing when I went to pick out boots, so the customer service agent who dealt with me (I think his name was Dan?) was extremely helpful. He showed me shoes in different pricing ranges and told me which he thought were the best in each. Got my latest pair of running shoes from Sports Authority. I knew exactly what I was in the market for and found the perfect pair of shoes. The price on them was comparable to the prices I found online, and since I didn't have to pay shipping, that meant that I saved a little money. Works for me. I have been shopping for an indoor sports gym I own and I must say they have something new stocked up all the time. They offer a wide range of products and most of the equipment in my gym is ordered from here. I’m happy and completely recommend them for other sports enthusiasts in Long Island.
