We were hunting for a takeaway place that would be close enough to home to go to regularly. We had a few choices, but none of the others were very good! We're all pretty particular when it comes to pizza. This was the first pizzeria that made all of us happy. So this is our new place. Best pizza in Shirley. I have been to Savarona several times now and each time it has been a good experience. Their food is fresh and good and I have never once gotten cold pizza. The prices are good, and the restaurant itself is pleasant enough, though I still generally opt for takeout instead of eating in. I wish they delivered to my area, but it's not a major inconvenience. Pizza is my personal comfort food. I always feel better when I grab a slice of pizza and it is a really easy food to make at home, as well as get at a restaurant. However, many times the quality of the take out pizza turns out to be poor. That is not the case with Savarona Pizzeria, a cute little pizza place in Shirley. The food there is absolutely gorgeous, the pizza is freshly baked and smells wonderfully. The toppings are abundant and tasty, the portions are generous enough and the prices are really competitive, in comparison with other pizza places in the area. So, I would most certainly suggest Savarona Pizzeria to anyone that wants to have a hearty meal and an affordable one too, enjoying Italian cuisine of the finest quality. An affordable place for a cosy night out with the kids. The food selection is rather limited, but they are all of good quality and filling. They can make sure that you get what you ordered exactly, meaning that you can specifically tell them to leave onions or olives out and they are sure to do so. My son has an allergy in certain foods and they are helpful with that. We have never had a problem with rations or prices, everything was great. Good prices on their pizza, and acceptable perhaps if you're in a rush (it's conveniently close to shopping). But not really somewhere you should make plans to come to if you can avoid it. The food isn't always hot (I've been here twice), and my friend tells me that they have had a roach problem. That may be resolved (one hopes), but it still bugs me! Share Your Review
