I think a case could be made that Radioshack is one of the all around worst stores in existence. There are a lot of mall stores that aren't very good, but there is usually at least a little variation between them.

With Radioshack, there is no variation. Not one little bit. Radioshacks in Long Island are as terrible as Radioshacks in Chicago or in Portland. They are all equally bad in the following ways:

-They are never clean or well organized. Finding things is always a hassle.
-They are crowded.
-The employees have a tendency not to pay the slightest attention to customers or have any clue what is going on around them.
-They are horribly overpriced. Since they know how hard it is to find most of the specialty parts they sell anywhere else, they make a point of gouging you for as much money as possible.

This is consistent across the board. My latest experience with this particular Radioshack was just as bad. I highly recommend that you avoid them unless it is absolutely necessary to subject yourself to the kind of bad service and overpriced stock that defines one of the worst chains in America.
