As far as fast food goes ... not bad, not bad. I have to say I am pretty surprised. The chicken is good--my kids like the tenders, but I prefer the chicken that's on the bone. They have spicy and mild varieties. I like the spicy best. The beans are really good, and a unique appetizer for a fast food chain. I forgot about this place until rediscovering it recently. Is it amazing? By no means. It's fast food. As far as fast food is concerned however, I can't think of many better options. They are miles better than Kentucky Fried Chicken. Their food never makes me feel bad, even though it's fried, and I have trouble digesting fried foods. I like the chicken tenders, and I never get tired of their fries, which are so nicely spiced. I forgot about the beans too! When I was a kid, they were the first beans I ever was willing to eat. I wanted to have a birthday party for my son and we visited the Popeye's Chicken and Biscuits Restaurant at Hempstead. It is located on Fulton Avenue, which is great to find, even if you do not know the place. The great specialty of Popeye's Chicken and Biscuits Restaurant is the absolutely perfect fried chicken, that everyone enjoyed. There is some excellent seafood as well, for those who did not like chicken and meat food choices. Beans were also a delight for everyone and we did not have it coming. Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits has some of the best chicken. I love fried chicken, but can never seem to get it right when I try to cook it. So the family always goes to Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits to get our chicken fix. It's fast food, but delicious and hopefully a little nutritious. Share Your Review
