I have heard lots of people complain that these guys don't know how to do anything but shave all the hair off of dogs, but this complaint, from what I can tell, stems from poor dog care by the owners. If you let hair get too matted, sometimes there is no way to brush it out, and it just has to come off. Otherwise you heard your dog.
All of that aside, I never had a problem with the actual grooming done here. But what does irritate me is that the people who work here do not seem to be very friendly.
So, they get the job done, but they could be more amiable. And I'm not entirely sure that some of the other complaints I've read are without foundation. So I'm going to be cautious and say 3/5 until I can make up my mind better. Please share your experiences if you have been to Poochie Parlor.

I have been going to Poochie Parlor since my dog was a little puppy. I loved the way they took care of him when he first got there, in order to get his ears cleaned and his hair checked for fleas and other pests. They are really kind and patient with the pets, they did not seem to mind about the time at all. They take their time and do everything as thoroughly as they can. I never have to pay too much for their services either, which is a great bonus for me. I think I have found the perfect place for my pet to feel nice and secure and it is really close to my house.

I have a dog called Smartie and she is really something. She gets dirty all the time as she likes to play with the mud and never ceases to run up and down. For her grooming I go to Poochie Parlor, as it is near my house. They love Smartie and they take good care of her. They cut her nails in detail, they comb her and they put some special clips that uncover her eyes and let her see more clearly. They are great with pets.

Okay, so I'm one of those weird people who like to get their cats groomed. Lilly is pretty good about keeping herself clean, but she gets knots and sometimes smells, so I take her to Poochie Parlor. I know the name indicates dogs, but they take care of cats too. They groom her, cut her naiils back, and clean her ears! They also offer products so that she doesn't get infested with fleas.

For some reason this place refused to give me a receipt for the haircut I got for my poodle. So weird. They didn't even seem to understand why I'd want a receipt. Because a haircut isn't returnable? No idea. Anyway, I like records, and it just seemed like strange behavior.
