This is a delightful restaurant with elegant gourmet food which absolutely fits the beauty of the name (don't you think Piccola Bussola is a beautiful name? It sounds elegant and dainty to me--just like their food--well, maybe not dainty; the portions are great). I want to try out their other locations too at some point soon. The prices are outstanding. You'd expect with a fancy sounding name and a specialty in Italian food, it would be way overpriced ... but you can usually eat for $10-15 per person! That's as good as it gets on Long Island. Give them a try if you want affordable gourmet awesomeness!

Every few months I treat myself and my family to dinner at Piccola Bussola. There are several different locations to my understanding, but we've only been to the Mineola one. It's a beautiful fine dining establishment with a comfortable interior, fast, friendly, and professional service, and amazing food. I almost always get the veal. It's around $30, and believe me, for that price, it is ... top of the line.
Now, my schedule rarely allows me to do this, but if you can get there during the lunch hours ... you are in for quite a treat. You can get most of their pasta dishes for around $10 a piece. Most of the chicken and seafood dishes are very low priced as well, but the same amazing recipes that they serve for dinner. And dessert ... don't even get me started.
This is one of the best fine dining establishments on all of Long Island, hands down.
