Payless is average in pretty much every way: average selection, average size, average sales personnel, just ... average. Average prices even. That actually works fine for me, being as I usually don't require anything amazing as far as my footwear is concerned. Now and again they aren't sufficient to meet my needs, like when I need something special and dressy to go with a new outfit I'm wearing somewhere important ... but for the day to day, they do great.
