One of the best bars in town. Yeah, it's a total dive, I know - but sometimes that is exactly what you're looking for. After a hard day, I always can find people to talk to here, and the drink menu is amazingly cheap.

This isn't the kind of bar I would bring somebody I wanted to impress, but it is a good place to chill out and meet some other locals. I am in my 50s, and I don't always feel comfortable at other bars. Here it seems like there are a lot more patrons who are in my age range and are up for a chat. They have some amazingly cheap drinks too.

This place is a dive, don't get me wrong, but i love it anyway. It caters to an older crowd, and the same people go back week after week, so you get to know everybody pretty well, and we've met a lot of friends here. Oh, and on Saturdays, I totally can get drinks for $2 a pop! How awesome is that? Eat something hearty before you show up since the drinks flow here at the Parsnip! No kiddies in here either, which is awesome.

There is an interesting option if you are looking for a bar in Ronkonkoma. I am a neighbour and I attend the place really often. It is called the Parnish Club and it has a great selection of beers and other drinks available. There are some platters that you can order, featuring finger food and some salads, in order to accompany you during your drinking. there are some wide screens, where you can watch your favourite team beat or get beaten, while commenting on the game with your friend. There are pools and darts available for you and your mates to compete and get free drinks. It is a nice and cosy bar that is worth paying a visit to!
