Top notch Mediterranean food on Long Island! And amazing prices. Usually I expect to pay an arm and a leg for good ethnic cuisine, especially something so hard to get right. I do look for gourmet food - maybe not in the literal sense, but I expect to enjoy myself when I pay to eat out. I would happily pay more to eat here, but am delighted that I don't have to, which lets me eat here more often than I would be able to if the prices were more of a Long Island average. I can actually eat here on my normal food budget, which is fantastic!

Good Mediterranean food is tough to find anywhere, even in New York. The gyros here are top notch, and the price is a delight. It's great to be able to walk in and grab a meal for two for under $15.00. How many places can you do that anymore? Typically we end up spending more than that, but that's because all the tempting appetizers successfully tempt us into buying them. And you know what? I'm fine with that. These guys deserve to do well.

Opa Grille is one of my favorite grill eateries in Long Island and I find myself heading there often. Sometimes, I call my parents and friends for company and I have a great time with them too. We all love coming here and sampling gourmet grills, out of which the chicken and mutton grills are out of the world. On the whole, I love Opa Grille.

Opa Grill is a place where I head often. Now, let me tell you more about myself: It is not that I’m looking for gourmet food. I just accept anything that does not make me sick the next day, does no choke down my throat and is affordable! Opa fulfills all the above requirements and then some more. It will remain on my ‘most preferred list’ of restaurants in NYC for ever! Thank you Opa!!

I love a good gyro! You can get a great gyro here for less than $7.00, and also lots of good Mediterranean appetizers like my favorite, grape leaves. Grape leaves are pretty tough to get right. I have had a lot that are hard and dry--these are nice and moist and just the right texture.
