To be clear, Mills Pond House is the home of the Smithtown Township Arts Council. They’re one and the same. They offer art classes around the world. They offer painting, architectural drawing, fashion illustration, fabric design and dying, costume illustration and more. Lots of great stuff, and there are classes for children, adults and teens. They also do exhibits of local artists’ work. The Pond House itself, where they hold the exhibitions and classes, is a pretty cool place too. It’s a Greek Revival style building which was constructed back in the 19th century. It’s a warm, open, and inviting space with a lot of stories of its own to tell.
