I used to be one of those people who thought that a medication could fix anything ... until I got in a car wreak earlier this year and found myself unable to go about my daily life and do the things i enjoyed, even with medication in my system. I finally started seeing a massage therapist after I realized I was going to need to go outside of what I would normally do to treat myself. I used to think that massages were just for relaxation. I had no idea what a huge difference they could make. Sometimes you need someone to actually take a hands-on approach to your health. I have so many soft tissue problems that are the result of the disalignment in my spine which happened after I was hit. My muscles get so tense, and it can be very painful to deal with. By seeing the massage therapist each week, I can get those knots out of my muscles and at least do something to fight back against the damage. I didn't notice much "overall" difference for the first few weeks, but now that I have been going in for about three months, I can notice a huge difference in how I feel. It's been wonderfully helpful, and I can't emphasize enough how grateful I am to the folks at Medical Massage Long Island for helping me feel better.
