Recognized by his peers for his track record of success, his handling of the “important” cases and his staunch representation of his clients, Marc S. Albert has cemented his position amongst the pre-eminent personal injury attorneys in New York. Since his graduation from law school more than 22 years ago, Mr. Albert has dedicated his practice exclusively to the representation of individuals who have suffered catastrophic injuries as a result of accidents and medical malpractice.
Over the course of his 22 year career, Marc has not only put together an impressive list of seven figure verdicts and settlements for his clients, but also has been recognized on countless occasions for his work on groundbreaking cases involving important issues of personal injury and medical malpractice law. For nearly a decade, Marc led the personal injury division of national powerhouse firm Seeger Weiss LLP. During that time, he became a “go to” attorney for the press, often being asked to comment by the media on cases of note and having many of his cases covered extensively by print, television and radio media sources. Marc has been featured on such outlets as The Today Show, CNN, MSNBC, Inside Edition, Telemundo Channel 47, CBS TV News, ABC TV News, WWOR TV News, The New York Post, The New York Times, The New York Daily News and countless others.
Marc has been involved in some of the more noteworthy cases in the last decade. Along these lines, Marc represented ten former NFL players who suffered concussions while playing in the league and was instrumental in bringing about the $765 Million settlement which was reached on behalf of the players with the NFL. Marc also gained critical acclaim for his representation of a 21 year old female client who was viciously assaulted and raped inside the New York City Transit Authority's 21st Street/Van Alst Subway Station while at least two Transit employees stood by without rendering assistance. The case, which was covered extensively by the press, triggered an outpouring of emotion by New York City women who regularly rode the subway. Perhaps the most rewarding victory of Marc's career, however, involved his representation of 10 members of the Windsor Wildcats under 21 female hockey team who were involved in one of the most tragic bus accidents in recent memory. With four deaths resulting from the crash and countless other catastrophic injuries, the case was ultimately settled under Marc's stewardship for $36 Million.
Mr. Albert approaches each and every case with compassion and dedication to his client. He firmly believes that it is of critical importance for an attorney to get emotionally invested in each client's case and not merely go through the motions or treat the case solely “as a job”. The attorney should take each case personally, feel the hardship that his client is going through, get to know his client and their family and understand their expectations. From there, the attorney should fight tirelessly to ensure just compensation for his client, a mantra that Marc has stood for his entire career.
