BEWARE OF LOUCRI JEWELERS! In late December 2014, I purchased a pair of diamond stud earrings for my wife’s Christmas gift. I bought them from Louay Daoud at Loucri Jewelers in Greenvale, New York.Our transaction was done by phone and email. Mr. Daoud promised a certain color and clarity grade to the stones as well as a G.I.A. appraisal confirming same. At his request, I wired money to his bank account as payment . When the earrings came, there was no receipt, bill of sale, etc. only an obscure G.A.I. appraisal. I had an independent G.I.A. appraisal done which confirmed the stones to be significantly lesser quality in both color and clarity than the appraisal provided by Loucri Jewelers. I contacted them 4 times receiving only one response saying that they would not do anything to correct the matter. I have contacted the B.B.B. , the Federal Trade Commission, and the Atty. General for the State of New York. I have ALL documentation in copies of emails and can prove all the statements I have made.
