My son sprained his toe while he was playing soccer, and thought he'd broken it. It didn't turn out to be broken, but it did develop into a chronic sprain. There's a specific name for it, but I forgot it. Anyway, he's been going to Livingston Foot Specialists for care, and they've been helping him to slowly recover mobility in his toe so he can get back to doing what he loves. I guess these kinds of injuries are common with athletes. They've been really helping him out--his primary care physician was completely useless, and didn't even know what was wrong with his toe.
