My parents lost their home a few months ago and needed somewhere to stay--permanently. At first we tried to hunt for an apartment for them, but gradually I realized that the most affordable solution over the LONG term would be to have them move in with us. At the same time, our house wasn't quite big enough, and we didn't want everyone to feel crowded, especially since our children still live with us.
We hired Lex Construction to put an addition onto our home. What a great decision that turned out to be. Our folks have their own bedroom, bathroom, and even a small living room. The only part of the house they absolutely have to share with us is the kitchen. It's nice having mom and dad so close, but still having our privacy and them having theirs. And there's plenty of room for all of us, even though six people now live in our house.
The addition itself looks wonderful, by the way. Most people don't realize it wasn't originally part of the house, it blends so well with the original construction. The only real giveaway is the obvious fact that it serves as an attached guest house with its own entrance and everything. But that's how we wanted it for mom and dad's convenience.

Lex Construction did an excellent job turning my garage into an extra room. We didn't really use the garage so we wanted to turn it into a family room of sorts, where we could have a pool table, and other games to entertain our friends, and play as a family. We were very impressed with the professionalism of Lex Construction.

When I wanted to turn my attic into an extra bedroom, Lex Construction did the job. They were professional, and did the job in a timely manner. I was really pleased with the end result.
