There is a reasonable selection of sushi restaurants in the area that are not too expensive and have good food. Out of all of them, I would say that Koban comes out on top as the winner. They have really interesting dishes that have a bit of a different flair to them, some unique recipes. I really enjoy their creativity as well as the nice environment here. Yesterday I ate lunch here with my boyfriend, and we both thought it was great. It was our first time in, and we both ordered sushi rolls. The atmosphere was really nice, and the restaurant was immaculately clean. They had a nice drink menu to go with the great food, and the staff were all smiles the whole time we were there. Koban Japanese Restaurant is a great restaurant in Merrick. I usually go there for all my business appointments and some of my friends reunion from school. It is a place with a great decor, friendly service and some amazing dishes to choose from. There is a lot of seafood available and there are platters that combine various kinds of sushi, as for chef's inspiration every day. The prices are reasonable enough for such a cuisine. It is sophisticated and it blends perfectly with the whole philosophy of the eastern world. Even the most demanding people in both my professional and my private life that have tasted this food were absolutely excited by it and want to come for more.
