I purchased a set of opal earrings here for my mother. Opal is one of her birthstones. I didn't know much about opals before I went shopping, but I was amazed at everything I learned about them from the guy who was working the counter. He was able not only to tell me about quality, but also about colours, rarity, and other features. I gather that the fire opals he sold me are not the most common opal colours (those are green and white). So I think that's cool! My mother usually wears warmer colours, and I think they will suit her better. Also, did you know that opals contain like 20% water?? How weird is that? They have some really lovely things here, and the guy who runs the place is very kind and knowledgeable.
