Before moving to Long Island, my wife and I used to visit a lot because we both have family here (we grew up here, moved away, and then moved back, you see). When we did, we always went with Hertz, and when friends from other states come and see us, we always suggest Hertz when they don't come with their own cars. If you want to rent a car, then Hertz Rent A Car is a solid option for you. I live in Jericho, which makes it rather easy for me to drop by their car rental and choose what I want. I do not own a car myself, I rarely use one in order to go on holidays or long distance trips. I can easily and quickly rent whichever car I want, even a minivan or a convertible, fill in some paperwork and drive off, without even having to pay a deposit.
