I have done plenty of vacations without going through a travel agent, and only one going through one. I have to say unequivocally, going through a travel agent is so much better. This agent saved us so much money and time, and we had way more fun on this trip than on any other we ever planned by ourselves. So yes, it's totally worth the fee, even in our internet era when you may think travel agents are defunct. I swear the thing I dreaded most about getting married was trying to figure out where we were going to go for our honeymoon. Neither of us have traveled much in our lives and didn't have a clue as to where to go.
