The Fire Island Pines Ferry Service only operates twice daily during the weekend for the winter months. The spring and summer schedule opens up when passenger traffic becomes heavier. There are discounted fares available for commuters. Summer rates and winter rates will vary and could be subject to an additional fuel charge depending on the conditions. Dogs are allowed on the ferries but will also have to pay a fee to cross the water. Freight is not allowed on these boats. Round trip fares are discounted from one way tickets. Seniors also receive a discounted price.
