I recently moved to Long Island from upstate NY, but before we finalized the decision, my wife and I wanted to take a tour of Long Island ourselves. We planned a two week excursion so we could get a feel for the area and find a good neighborhood for our family. During that time we decided to rent a car to get around more easily, and went with Enterprise. It was a good experience right from the start where the guy picked us up at the airport and drove us to the Enterprise building. The guy who hooked us up with our rental vehicle let us choose from several options and gave us reasonable price (expensive, but not as bad as we'd pictured). The car we used performed just fine through the whole two weeks, and we enjoyed driving it around. At the end of the vacation, we took it back and had no problems with wrapping things up.
