I never had Dominican food until I ate here. I tried it just because I was curious what Dominican food is. Apparently what it is is a LOT of food, which is fantastic. I can't think of another restaurant in town which serves bigger portions for the price! And the food is delicious, very very tasty. It usually involves a huge pile of rice with meat on it. I like the chicken best. When I eat here, I can finish maybe a third of my platter, and then the rest of it is leftovers. I'm a student and I have to actively save money, so eating here actually is pretty cost effective.

It's a standalone restaurant, not a "hole in the wall," but it does look like a bit of a dive. It's totally not. You go in here and they will serve you a mountain of food - really good food. I really like the pork. Comes with a ton of rice. I usually finish about a half of my plate (sometimes less than that) and then I take the rest of my food home. Heck, sometimes me and my girlfriend can just split a dish and call it good. For the price, it's outstanding. Don't miss out just because it doesn't look like much from the outside. It's really popular, and it's earned it.

If you are a sea food lover like me, you’ll love Dominican Restaurant and its specialties. Whether it is fish, lobsters, crab, shrimp, or trout, they serve it with panache. You forget dieting, your weight and keep gorging on one gourmet delicacy after another. The meals are reasonably priced and the ambience is great. They are open throughout the week and thus, make for excellent fine dining experience in the borough.
Take your family to Dominican Restaurant and watch them savor one item after item as you all catch up on each other’s life. A truly wonderful experience!
