When our relatives were staying over, they wanted to do something "Long Island-y." We figured that would have to involved going to the beach or something similar. But we thought, "Why not avoid the crowds and do something a little different?" We'd never done one of these cruises before, but we had a grand time! When our relatives came out to visit us this summer, we were trying to think up the perfect activity to do together that would really give them a feel for the joys of living in Long Island, and we thought, why not take a cruise? Then they can see the whole island from a unique vantage point and enjoy being on the sea. Since they're all from North Dakota, that's not really something they get to do every day! It was the perfect choice as it turned out. They were excited to get out on the waves and see the island from the sea, and the charter itself was very nice - the crew were friendly and full of cool trivia that even we didn't know. I now live on LI, but several months ago I was just a visitor checking the area out and deciding whether I wanted to move here. While I was in town I thought it'd be fun to take a charter boat out on the sound, and so I chose to commission Cruise LI Sound. I had a great time, even though I was by myself and didn't know anyone. There were only a few other people on the boat, so I got to know everyone and we really enjoyed ourselves. Next time (in a few months when we can afford it after we've settled in a bit more), I'll go on a sunset cruise with my wife. This is a great way to see Long Island--as it appears from sea! I am in Long Island for my university and hail from Daytona Beach. My friends wanted to tour around as much as possible before our college began, and we decided to go on the Cruise, which was a delight. We’re glad we started our sightseeing with them, and considering our wonderful experiences with the cruise, it is no surprise that our touring of the Island was fabulous. Perfect night out with my wife and a couple of friends. Cruise Li Sound provided all three of the couples a really romantic night. The rates were within our reach. Can't wait to be able to do it again. Share Your Review
