I wasn't thrilled with Costco when I first started going there. Why? The low prices rock, but the store is so hectic and crazy, and it's huge, and it takes forever to get in and out because of that. But over time I realized they have amazing customer service, and I found out that's because they actually pay their staff a living wage. For that reason I'm very happy to shop here, crowds and all. I like how Costco runs their business. They pay their employees better wages here than they do at most big chain stores like this--and it shows. If you need help here, you'll get it. There is always someone ready to help you find something or answer a question, and the cash register workers are really fast, despite the huge lines. I have saved loads of money shopping here, and I am glad to pay my membership fee every year. I'm guessing it's amounted to hundreds in savings each year I've been a member. This Costco, like every other Costco I have ever visited, is identical. It's actually a bit eerie how when you walk into a Costco, the layout is EXACTLY the same everywhere you go. Though it does help you find stuff, once you know your way around (which is pretty challenging the first few times).

Pros:

You save a LOT of money shopping at Costco. I made up for my membership fees when I first joined within two months. They're great for bulk savings on products I use a lot, like olive oil, water filters, etc.

Cons:

Costco is a depressing store, anywhere you go. It is a giant, ugly warehouse, and it's always packed with people. It's just not a pleasant shopping experience, and I literally dread going in there to the extent I sometimes talk myself out of it and pay more somewhere else. Also, their lines can take FOREVER.
