Sales Professional - Outside Sales - Kings Park, NY

As the most used advertising medium when consumers are looking to make a purchase, our local yellow page directory offers advertisers an indispensable vehicle that is almost impossible to pass up.

We are looking for aggressive, self-motivated individuals who have a strong desire to succeed, and want to take advantage of the income potential available in selling such a highly accepted vehicle. For sales professionals who are driven and expect to be rewarded for their efforts, an uncapped income potential awaits. Strong closers have the opportunity to make a significant difference and generate immediate success for both advertisers and themselves, while solidifying the strength of our company. We offer a competitive base salary with uncapped commissions. Account Executives have a choice to either be on a commission-only pay structure, benefiting from very aggressive commission rates or be on a base plus commission structure. Position Responsibilities:
  • Aggressively prospect and secure new accounts using company provided and self-generated leads
  • Utilize strong closing skills to meet and/or exceed sales goals
  • Secure and upgrade current advertising programs by demonstrating value and return on investment
  • Identify value-add opportunities to up-sell current accounts
  • Develop creative marketing plans for customers that deliver a solid return on investment
  • Provide consultative services by helping business owners identify marketing strategies
  • Educate customers on the value and benefit of Long Island Media, Inc.’s products and Services
  • Employ networking expertise to generate business leads at local community events, trade shows and Chamber of Commerce events
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization
  • Apply strong attention to detail to submitting complete and accurate account information/contracts, copy and accompanying art work

Qualifications:
  • Proven record maintaining and exceeding sales quota/revenue goals
  • “Hunter” ability to qualify and aggressively close cold call accounts
  • Thrives on challenges with professional, results driven attitude
  • Outstanding problem solving and negotiating skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to maintain long-term customer relationships

Preferences:
  • Minimum of 2 years inside and/or outside sales experience in business-to-business sales with incentive/bonus structure
  • College degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent, or related field strongly preferred
  • Strong computer skills and solid understanding of the internet

Requirements:
  • Valid NY driver’s license, insurance, safe driving record and automobile

  • Maintain a professional demeanor and treat others with civility and respect
