The Block Island Ferry runs between new London Connecticut and the Block Island. There are three types of service available and include the traditional, high speed and Newport ferries. Depending on which vessel you choose will determine how long the trip lasts. The high speed vessel arrives in approximately thirty minutes, while the Newport vessel will take two hours one way. There is a concession stand with a full open bar on board. Pets are allowed in carriers in the vehicles as the boats travel over the water and to the dock. All of the main docks are wheelchair accessible for travelers.
