Barnes and Noble is a very pleasant store but also an overpriced one. It didn't used to be that way--but times have changed. Still pleasant to spend time in a bookstore, but I've turned to eBooks for lower prices--and used paperbacks at used book stores. I remember when those used to be cheaper too. Thomas I. I used to really like shopping at Barnes & Noble when I was younger. In fact, if my parents wanted me to behave on some long shopping trip or another tedious errand, it seemed like all they had to do was promise me we'd stop in at the bookstore. That was in the old days though, when you could buy a new paperback for $5. Remember how at used book shops you could get a book for a quarter? Now, you can get a used book for $5. You walk into Barnes and Noble and a new paperback can cost you $15! That used to be the cost for a hardcover. And don't even get me started on those. It's insane! I have a hard time believing that paper is really that much pricier than it used to be. All I can think is that bookstores and traditional publishers are trying to gouge us since people are turning to eBooks. It's a crime. Share Your Review
