I take home security pretty seriously, and after moving into a new neighborhood, I didn't want my house to go unprotected. I purchased a comprehensive alarm system from Atlas and installed it myself. There are several cameras, a motion sensor which goes near the front door, and the whole system networks to my computer so I can easily monitor the system on my laptop. I spend a lot of time out of town on business trips, and this way I don't have to worry as much about my property while I'm away. They also have a whole thing where the system will alert the security company if there's an intrusion, and help will be summoned instantly.
