Gearing up for his Bar Mitzvah, Evan Mauner, 12, was looking for a cause to support. After some thought, he came up with an idea called “Cupcakes for a Cause” in honor of breast cancer awareness. He baked cupcakes to sell for a $1.00 each outside the Great River Post Office on two separate occasions. His efforts raised $535.00, which he donated to St. Catherine’s Women’s Health and Outpatient Diagnostic Pavilion.
“We are so moved by his thoughtfulness and generosity,” stated radiologist Anne Green, MD. The funds will support Breast Imaging Services at the medical center.
St. Catherine’s Women’s Health and Outpatient Diagnostic Pavilion offers comprehensive breast health services in a private setting, and is a Breast imaging Center of Excellence, designated by the American College of Radiology.
