Riverhead, NY; September 18, 2012. The Board of Trustees of the Railroad Museum of Long Island is pleased
to announce our second annual WOODEN TOY TRAIN PLAY DAYS. To be held on the Museum grounds at 416 Griffing Avenue, across the tracks from the Riverhead Long Island Railroad Station from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 6 and Sunday, October 7, 2012.
This is a special Museum event geared to the little train lover and his / her family. We will have tons of wooden track and trains for children to play with in the “Play Area!” Color pictures of Chuggington and Thomas and Friends at the “Coloring Station!” Ride the “Pumpkin Patch Train” - where you will select your own pumpkin for face painting!
Hear exciting stories of Thomas and Friends! Watch Thomas the Tank Engine and Chuggington videos. See model trains run on our “O” and Garden gauge train layouts! Visit the Ultimate Thomas Store for all your Thomas the Tank Engine and Chuggington toys, games, videos, and much more!
Admission for adults (13+): $7.00; children 5 - 12 yrs.: $4.00; under 5 yrs. FREE
Take the LIRR “Greenport Scoot” from Riverhead to visit our Museum in Greenport and then return to Riverhead. “Greenport Scoot” tickets are purchased separately on board the train from the LIRR Conductor. There is no “on train” purchase LIRR surcharge. Admission to Wooden Toy Train Play Days allows you to see both Museum sites on the same day of purchase.
