Village of Hempstead Mayor Wayne J. Hall Sr., Deputy Mayor Waylyn Hobbs Jr., Trustee Luis Figueroa and Village Justice Ayesha Brantley were recently sworn in to their official positions at a well-attended ceremony in the Hempstead Public Library Community Meeting Room.
“I would like to thank the people of Hempstead for allowing me to continue to serve them as I remain committed to making positive contributions and developments for our Village,” said Mayor Wayne J. Hall Sr. “It is my goal to ensure that every member of our community has an opportunity for education and employment, adequate and affordable housing and an enriched quality of life.”
The ceremony marked the official beginning of Mayor Hall’s third term and the first term of Trustees Hobbs and Figueroa and Justice Brantley in their new positions. Each of the elected officials was sworn in by a Nassau County District Court justice along with members of their family.
