Tomorrow is the day that women around the country have been waiting for; Valentine's Day. It is a day of dinners, chocolate, flowers, cards, diamonds and pampering. There is no doubt about it, men have a heavy burden to live up to, but they do not have to worry. There are plenty of great local events happening on Long Island where they can provide a great night out for their loved one.
Chopped! Valentine's Day Edition!
This is a great way to have some fun at the start of the weekend. The event is on Friday night from 7 to 8:30 PM at the Patchogue-Medford Library. There you will compete in teams to concoct a dish using random ingredients. You must register for the event, but that sounds like a lot of fun!
A Night of Elegance
Get into your absolute best outfit and dance the night away in elegance. Held that the Milleridge Cottage in Jericho, you can take in this Valentine's sweetheart ball for singles and couples. The evening features an open bar, cocktail hour, and gourmet dinner, and black tie is optional. But, wouldn't be much funner with it? You must reserve your spot and admission is $160 per couple.
Wedding Vow Renewal
Nothing says 'I love you' like renewing your wedding vows on Valentin'es Day. Especially if there is another diamond! Give your wife another dream moment overlooking the Atlantic Ocean at Gurney's Inn in Montauk. After the ceremony there is a full reception with cake and Champagne. A cost of $20 per couple goes to benefit the Montauk food pantry.
Give your Valentines something special this year with a great night out and enjoy the different events on Long Island.
