Looking for a romantic restaurant for you and your loved one? Long Island is full of fantastic restaurants that can cater to the romantic. With great atmosphere and quiet cosiness, there are several places that fit that type of bill. But, if you are looking for a Long Island restaurant that can be a major hit on Valentine's Day, then you must also think about the food. Here are three great places to take the one you love for a romantic meal.
Prime in Huntington
You may not think that a traditional American steakhouse would be a great place for a romantic Valentine's Day meal, but the food and the decor blasts away that misconception. The main dining room of Prime Restaurant in Huntington is a formal, all-white beauty boasting views of Huntington Harbor, a ceiling made from weathered barn siding and a wall of handmade glass blocks. Besides the decor the food is amazing. Besides the regular menu, the restaurant offers specials like surf-and-turf for two, with a choice of lobster, giant prawns or king crab for the seafood and filet mignon, rib-eye or porterhouse on the land side. Desserts for your special night will include a chocolate trio and a passion fruit mousse cake with dark chocolate sorbet.
Lake House in Bay Shore
Another amazing place with incredible food. Here at the Lake House, water views are of Lawrence Lake, which is illuminated at night, as is a waterside fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs; the fire is lit every night, even in winter. One dining room is enclosed in glass; another has large windows and mirrors on the opposite wall so that everyone has a water view. On Valentine’s Day the regular menu will be offered along with popular specials, oysters, rack of lamb and butter-poached lobster among them. Diners receive pain au chocolat as a parting gift and a sweet reminder of the meal at breakfast the next morning.
Annona in Westhampton Beach
What else can you say when perfection has already been reached? The Annona is a major Valentine's Day hot spot for good reason. Roses and truffles are presented to women here on Valentine’s Day. A classical guitarist will provide background music that night. The restaurant has six cozy booths designed for two, which have panels that muffle sound, so that conversations are private. In addition to the regular menu, a prix fixe, four-course meal for $65 will include specials like a porterhouse for two and heart-shaped ravioli colored by beet juice, filled with beets and ricotta and sauced with brown butter, sage and poppy seeds.
