On Wednesday a new sandwich shop in Huntington gets ready to blast off and provide their customers with great tasting food. The Wild Rocket is on the countdown for its official liftoff on Wednesday and the 12 seat shop is ready to serve. This new restaurant is also a part of the Reststar Hospitality Group. This group also owns Bistro Cassis and Cafe Buenos Airesin Huntington, as well as Brasserie Cassis in Plainview, Bistro Citron in Roslyn and La P’tite Framboise in Port Washington.
The menu was devised by consulting chef Marc Anthony Bynum. This wonderful chef currently oversees Cue 9 in Levittown and was executive chef at Tellers American Chophouse in Islip.
Bynum has been busy preparing some new signature dishes for the new shop. One of the new restaurant's signature dishes is a sea spring salad of mandarin oranges, Kalamata olives, feta, mint leaves and oven-roasted shrimp over wild rocket (also known as arugula) with a citrus vinaigrette. Sounds good.
The Wild Rocket will also be offering a Vietnamese banh mi sandwich of pate with pickled vegetables, grilled chicken, spicy mayo and cilantro on a baguette for just $9. Not only does the food sound amazing, but the prices are low enough to enjoy without worrying about going over budget.
The Wild Rocket is located at 376 New York Ave., Huntington and will be opening its doors on Wednesday.
