The Story Of A Girl Continues: Ninedays Returns With Spring/summer Tour And New Recording

St. James, NY (April 4, 2013) – Long Island, NY's own ninedays, best known for their smash hit song "Absolutely (Story of a Girl)" which hit #1 and topped the radio charts back in the year 2000, has just announced that the five original members of the band who performed on their classic Gold sales certified album "The Madding Crowd" (Epic) have reunited to play a string of East Coast dates this Spring and Summer 2013. The band has also been working on songs for a new album which is set to be recorded in Nashville, TN this Summer and is scheduled for a Fall release.

Singer John Hampson remarked "The five of us, Brian, Nick, Vinnie and Jeremy, and I have been friends and bandmates for almost 20 years at this point. It just feels like a good time to make music together again.The song, "Absolutely (Story of a Girl)", continues to have a life of it's own and isn't going anywhere, so we have some great opportunities to go out and play shows. The new songs are coming from a more roots, americana/pop vibe, more like the band was when we started out playing every Monday night at The Village Pub in Pt. Jeff in the late 90s. It's exciting and fun, which are the key ingredients for all of us."

The "tour", which is essentially weekend dates, kicks off on April 4th at the University of Hartford and finishes up on May 18 at the Riverside Ampitheater in Montgomery, Alabama making stops at Tupelo Music Hall in New Hampshire, the Boulton Center in Bayshore, New York and the Exit/In in Nashville, Tennessee among others - with several other dates still to be announced.
