Huntington, NY (September 12, 2012) – Republican and Conservative Candidate for Congress in New York’s 3rd District released the following statement in response to the attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi, Libya and the U.S. embassy in Cairo, Egypt:
“I am angered and saddened by news of the terror attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi, and the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, which led to the death of four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens. My prayers go out to the Stevens’ family, and the families of all those killed in this attack, as they face this extremely difficult time.
“For these violent terror attacks to take place on September 11, is a grim reminder that enemies of the United States are still at large, and will stop at nothing to fundamentally assault the ideals of freedom and liberty that we as Americans hold dear.
“The United States and our allies, such as Israel, must stand by one another, now more than ever, in defense of our beliefs, and hold those who committed these kinds of violent and heinous acts responsible.”
